Description

This tree is a unique creation, skillfully combining the delicate multi-trunk structure with the elegant simplicity of the literati style, evoking a strong aesthetic emotion. Originating from the nurseries of Master Shiino Kentaro.

Height of tallest trunk: 985 mm Branch spread: 700 mm Unsigned antique Tokoname unglazed Japanese pot: 450 × 350 × 65 mm The small needles are naturally short and fine. The style is Sankan (three trunks), with one treated as deadwood (jin). This bonsai, over 60 years old, has perfectly formed bark. It was collected as a yamadori more than 40 years ago. The tree is well ramified with excellent trunk tapering. Trunk diameters measure 25 mm, 30 mm, and 50 mm respectively, with a superb and regular nebari of 300 mm diameter. No grafting scars, grown from natural seed. No major wire marks or pruning wounds. A high-quality specimen ideal for a collector willing to dedicate time to regular pruning to densify its branch pads. Currently wired to perfect the shaping of its branch pads. Admire the natural beauty and graceful curves of each trunk. Photographed in July 2025. Sold without stand.
