Japanese White Pine 'Nasu Musume' – Elegance and Rarity

Tree height: 450 mm Branch spread: 400 mm Pot: unglazed Yixing clay, sand-colored, 340 × 260 × 130 mm Style: Moyogi (informal upright), with well-formed branch pads Trunk: graceful movement, Ø 70 mm Nebari: 100 mm Age & origin: Japan, air-layered (no graft marks), cultivated by Master Murakawa This rare variety, Pinus parviflora 'Nasu Musume', is highly sought after by connoisseurs. It is renowned for its naturally short needles (around 2 cm) and its remarkable ability to back-bud easily, making it possible to develop dense and refined branch pads with ease. The bonsai displays a perfectly balanced silhouette with a beautifully sinuous trunk, free from major scars or wire marks. Its elegance lies in the natural flow of its lines combined with the compactness of its foliage – a tree that embodies both grace and character. A refined and rare specimen, ideal for the discerning collector. Photographed in April 2025. Stand not included.
