Juniperus chinensis itoigawa

Description

Height of the tree without its pot : 480 mm. Width of the branches : 500 mm.

Japanese artisanal quality pot : 380*280*70 mm. Moyogi style. This juniper has graceful trays, a shari on its twisted trunk and jins.

Diameter of the trunk : 60 mm. Superb nebari which diameter is 120 mm.

Itoigawa species with thin and canopy green scales.

Particularly vigorous and perfectly adapted to the bonsaï cultivation.

Unlike juniperus chinensis type, it only loses little foliage in the beginning of summer. This tree is more than 50/60 years old so it has a formed barked. No cutting or wire wounds. Coming from Master Katoh's nursery. Exceptional tree !

It is a true Bonsaï with original Jin and Shari, do not mix up with tanuki bonsaïs.
Reformed in September 2018 by Master Tomoya Nishikawa, who modified the front face : he moved it to the left (more than in the picture) for repoting, so that you can admire its twisted trunk, the element that makes that bonsaï unique.
