Pinus pentaphylla zuisho ref: 07011234 ref : 12066 Tree height: 940 mm. Branching width: 1100 mm. Unglazed Japanese pottery: 580*440*140 mm with a slight chip on the rim. Sokan style. A bonsai over 60 years old, featuring an elegant conicity of the trunks and well-proportioned overall aesthetics. The branches are well-developed, displaying formed bark. The trunk diameter is approximately 400 mm at the base. This belongs to the "zuisho" variety, known for its particularly graceful small needles. Its relatively fast growth compared to the standard Pinus pentaphylla allows the formation of dense and beautiful plateaus. The numerous branches facilitate relatively easy shaping, although small pruning wounds (Ø +-15 mm) are in the process of healing at the apex, with a small shari visible on the back of the trunk. sequoiadendron giganteum vida magical mistery ref : 11755 This variety is still rare on the market and is a lemon yellow improvement of the standard variety. It has a straight trunk and a very thick bark, cracked and clear brown colored. The main branches take a plunging slanting direction, giving its crown a very regular conical form. The leaves are like scales, spear-shaped, and their dimensions vary between 2 and 4 cm. The evergreen leaves present lemon yellow tones with glaucous reflections and red/brown colored cones. This resinous tree is quite resistant to cold in the tempered climate of France, Belgium, and Swiss. It likes light, the best is full sun exposure, or at least 6 hours a day of direct sunlight and a good atmospheric moist. It is sensitive to wind. It barely vegetates in the very hard soils. It is hard to multiply. Indeed, the "carrot" form of the Sequoiadendron roots system makes the transplantation of this tree quite difficult. The best is to plant it when it is very young. Its red/brown trunk stands out in any landscape. Adult height: about 300-350 cm. Adult width : 60-90 cm. Medium rate growth (30/40 cm per year). The giant sequoia grows in acid, clay, moist, sandy, and well-drained soils. This variety grows in a pyramidal form when it is young, and then takes a more columnar form over the years. The bark stays more deep red colored than the typical red Japanese maple Sango kaki even when getting older. The green leaves of 'Sir Damon' provide a lovely contrast with the red bark in spring and summer. In autumn, 'Sir Damon' turns to a dazzling yellow color. Sir Damon' is a creation from Mr. Crispin's Silva, United States of America, named after his son "Damon".
