Description

Foliage is pinkish-yellow-green in spring, dark green in summer, and orange-red in autumn. In winter, the wood turns red on the branches from the past two years.
'Cupid' is a dwarf mutation discovered by Mr. Maple on a coral bark Japanese maple, shown in the photo. Grafting this dense mutation produced a dwarf coral bark Japanese maple that will reach 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 meters) in 15 years. Its fall color is a bright yellow.
