Description
Height of the only tree : 310 mm. Width of the branches : 280 mm. Dimensions of the brown non-enamelled pot : 250*210*80 mm.
Moyogi style. The Gardenia genus, from the rubiaceae family, kushinashi in japanese, is a beautiful shrub with a shiny evergreen green foliage.
This species has to be protected from frost in a cold greenhouse or in a room that is not heated.
The japanese species has some orange colored fruits after flowering, that stay late in fall : much effect (see last picture). The white flowers, creamy, ivory or even sofly pink have a smooth scent very looked for and characteristic of that species. The medium flowering goes on from June to September. The Gardenias were before cultivated for cut flowers and decorations. This species is a cold grenhouse or orangeries plant. If it is in a pot, it is indispensable to protect it from frost. The main interest of the species is its wonderful scented flowering.
