Juniperus chinensis itoigawa

Description

Exceptional bonsaï for collector.
Height of the tree only : 310 mm. Width of the branches : 320 mm.

Artisanal brick-colored non-enamelled firmed pot from Yixing.

Dimensions of the pot : 210 x 165 x 70 mm. Moyogi style.

Strong trunk, diameter : 50/70 mm.

Juniper with graceful trays, a shari on the twisted trunk and some jins.

Requires generous watering in summer and a regular fertilization all along the dormancy period.

Without any strong cutting wound nor wire mark.

Itoigawa variety with thin green canopy scales, particularly vigorous and perfectly adapted to the bonsaï cultivation.

It loses only little foliage in the beginning of summer compared to the standard juniperus chinensis.

Formed bark because it is more than 50 years old.

It comes from Master Shiraiichi's nursery. Authentic bonsaï with natural jin and shari. Do not mistake with the tanukis. Reformed in February 2020 with wire copper by Master Tomoya Nishikawa. The bonsaï was repoted in April 2020 so you will have to repot it again in April 2023. Admire the trunk and the atypic natural shari : unique characters of this bonsaï. The whitening with jin product of the dead trunks, softly toned with charcoal will give it an ash color which will give a special touch to this bonsaï. Shelf not included.
