Juniperus chinensis itoigawa
Description
Tree height: 440 mm.
Branch width: 385 mm.
Unglazed pot dimensions: 340*185*55 mm.
Style: Moyogi, from the nursery of Mr. Shiraichi.
Well-branched subject with graceful branch trays.
Superb trunk movement with its natural shari.
Genuine bonsai with original jin and shari, not to be confused with Tanuki.
Reformed in February 2020 by Mr. Tomoya Nishikawa through structural cutting and copper wire ligature.
Admire the strong trunk with a diameter of approximately 40 mm and its unique curvature.
Whitening with jin product on the slightly tinted deadwood with charcoal will give it an ashy color, which is very appealing. The
Itoigawa variety with fine green scales, particularly vigorous, and perfectly suited for bonsai cultivation, loses very little foliage in early summer compared to Juniperus chinensis.
Requires generous watering in the summer and regular fertilization throughout the growing season.
Genuine bonsai aged over 20-25 years.
