Zelkova serrata, or Japanese zelkova, is a deciduous tree with graceful, elegant-tipped foliage. Its leaves change from green in spring/summer with pinky young shoots, to yellow-orange-red in autumn, to brown in winter. This beautiful species is often used in bonsai.
