ref. 11759 DescriptionHeight of the tree only: 340 mm. Width : 320 mm. Dimensions of the non-enameled pot: 320*235*90 mm. Big trunk: about 25/35 mm. Ishitsuki style on a rock. It is a Japanese vine belonging to the Jasminum family. Softly perfumed flowers, bright green foliage with apparent veins that turn to fire red in Autumn. Splendid bonsaï which was repoted in March 2020. That type of bonsaï requires to be protected from frost during wintering. Rare in cultivation, for a collector and bonsaï's lover. This variety presents an orange/golden yellow-colored foliage at the beginning of the season and also on the new shoots in summer. The structure cut may be strict (you may let only few leaves, it grows again easily at this season only) and will be done in full dormancy between mid-May and mid-June under the advice of Mister Hashimoto, its original grower in Fukaya, Japan, who has been forming bonsaïs from cutting like this since about 25 years. During summer, it will require a daily and generous watering and you may do the fertilization once a month with biogold from May to October. A shady exposure will be the best for this bonsaï. Shelf not included. Photographed in August 2022. |
