Description

Height of tree: 360 mm. Width: 30 mm. 

Dimensions of the enameled pot: 250*190*75 mm. Moyogi style. .

This bonsaï is more than 12 years old, with formed trays and its splendid bark. Diameter of the trunk: about 12/18 mm. Requires sun during spring and a half-shade exposure during summer. The cutting wounds that are still visible are currently healing and will be healed in arround 1 year. Repoted in February 2021 in Akadama soil.

The bark of the trunk and the branches of the seigen variety naturally become cracked along years: it gives this variety a decorative character. Also called seigai. The spring foliage is bright pink with green/yellow veins. In summer the foliage turns to dark green and in fall it is red/orange. Do you already have this book on maples?
